Welcome to the blog for Professor Jamy Gearhart's 2:00 pm English 101 class at North Carolina A&T. These kind souls manage to stay awake in my class, even though we all know that 2:00 pm is prime napping time. They not only stay awake, but lead lively discussions with great insights.
Instead of keeping a journal this year, my students and I will embark on a blogging journey where we will polish our writing skills, improve our technique, and explore how we can use writing to benefit ourselves while in school and into the future.
Writing Prompt:
Introduce yourself and tell me about something that makes you laugh every time you think about it, see it, or hear it. You can create a new blog entry to respond or reply directly to this blog post.
For me, there are a lot of things that make me laugh every single time: movies, commercials, pictures, even that stupid guy, Markiplier, who my son and his friends are into, he can make me laugh. There are, however, some things I like to take out when I'm having a bad day because I know that no matter how rotten my day is going, they will pull a laugh out of me. This dreadful Walmart commercial is one particular favorite. I laugh until the tears squeeze out of my eyes every time I watch it.
My name is Jazmine Proctor, and something that makes me laugh everytime I think about it is when the scene in the movie "All about the Benjamin's" and the man was arguing with the guy that kidnapped him. I laugh at this part because the comments he says about him and the way he says it.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Alex Walton. I have not seen that commercial before but I also found it hilarious. It looked very painful, and I definitely would not have liked to of been the one stepping on something like that. Something that makes me laugh every time are the videos of kids and teens after having there wisdom teeth removed. I find them hilarious because they are still drugged up and very loopy. They have no idea what they are saying. I have yet to see one that I have not laughed at.
ReplyDeleteHello everyone, I am Emorya (E-more-re-ya)....something that makes me laugh is the "You know what to do robert" Video on vine/youtube. The part that makes me laugh the hardest is just him in general and the lady in the background talking. It is a video about a chubby little boy and he just breaks out into a split being flexible I guess, and just dancing so hard. I will post the link for you all to see it is soo funny!

Hey guys, My name is Johnathan Johnson and this app called iFunny is what makes me laugh. It is full up gifs, memes, and occasional vines that usually have me laughing a lot. The best part about the app is that its content is ever changing and it usually makes fun of current events or stunts storming the web. Things can range from the political debates to even feuds such as the one with Kanye and Wiz Kalifa. You can also subscribe to certain creators if their posts align with your interests. you can be come a creator as well and if your good enough you can become featured, which is like you 15 seconds of fame. The clown video put a smile on my face but i bet stepping on that was worse than stepping on Legos.
ReplyDeleteHello Everyone! My name is Laurynn Morgan. That clown commercial was funny! Something that makes me laugh every time is every time I scroll down my twitter timeline. Someone is always sharing a funny video that makes me crack up! More specifically, I like to look up to the pages that share videos of teens who just go their wisdom teeth taken out. They are all drugged up, and its hilarious to see some of the things they do and say.

Things that make me laugh no matter what, are my favorite Instagram comedians like PatDLucky, NotKarltonBanks, and CallhimRenny. These three never disappoint me with their comical videos and skits. Whenever I am feeling down or just need some uplifting, I turn to them and instantly become happy!

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Corinthia Evans and something that makes me laugh is people. Not just regular people but the people that are so funny but so serious at the same time and they don't even realize how funny they are (wow that was confusing) lol. It just has me in tears when people are so funny but they are yet so serious at the same time and they always look at me crazy for laughing so much.
